A centerpiece of the collection is the iron and upholstered canopy bed—a style that's topping homeowners' wish lists this year, according to a recent report (apparently we all want to sleep like royalty now). Samuel says she envisioned a modern interpretation of the traditional form, opting for a pared-back frame but exaggerating the curves of the upholstered headboard. "In my mind, it's a little Louis XV meets Bauhaus," she adds, which is the most delicious design mashup we've ever heard. Her styling rec? Keep the bedding minimal—just two pillows tucked under a coverlet. If you're looking to customize—and create a cozy, cocooning effect—Samuel suggests hanging drapery panels. Bedroom fortress: activated.
